Ribe Witch Museum is a museum under development, not only aimed at Danish visitors, but which throughout its approach is aimed at a European audience, because we have a common history here.

From Ribe we have preserved the most extensive Danish source material on witch processes, and from here we also know one of the convicted by name: Maren Spliid, who was burned at the stake in 1641, after her case was tried at three instances. She became the victim of the sorcery persecution that seized the people of Europe in the 15th and 16th centuries.

We want to create a museum that is not only aimed at Danish visitors, but which throughout its approach is aimed at a European audience, because we have a common history here.
